simulation guide step 5

Step 5: Installation - DIY or Professionally installed?

The final step is deciding how to install your golf simulator. If you're handy, a DIY installation may save on costs, and some systems are relatively simple to set up. However, for a more complex or high-end setup, you might want to bring in the professionals.  Austad's simulator crew has experience setting up virtually any type of simulator in almost any type of space.

Things to Consider:

  • How handy are you? - Do you have experience with complex projects? Are you comfortable and resourceful with bigger building projects?  If so, a DIY simulator is definitely an option.
  • Time and Effort - It usually takes about a day for the Austad's crew to install a simulator. We usually have 2 pros on the job and have plenty of experience to ensure things go smoothly.  If you go the DIY route, we recommend having at least one other person to help and blocking off 1-2 days to complete the setup.
  • Peace of Mind - Letting professional installers handle your simulator setup can definitely help eleviate some stress. With professional installation, you just need to make sure your space is cleared out and that you're ready to play!
